Job Duties:
Provide customer service to our customers in the Produce Department. Proper performance of the duties and responsibilities of this position will contribute to and enhance achievement of proper Produce conditions. Responsible for maintaining standards according to the Produce Standard Practice Manual, maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of Standard Practices. Maintain proper receiving, handling and production of product. Maintain proper housekeeping ad equipment handling and care standards. Maintain proper quality control, product level and conditions of product. Properly rotate product when stocking. Understand and adhere to Food Safety guidelines and procedures. Engage and interact with customers to create a positive shopping experience. Maintain proper pricing. Comply with scheduling and policy standards. Find more efficient ways to do the job and seek to reduce costs and improve labor productivity. Unload trucks for the Produce Department. Look for ways to increase sales. Continually review current Standard Practices to ensure proper Standard Practice execution. Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices. Requirements
Job Requirements:
Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 60 pounds to pull and stock product.
Ability to withstand for long periods a working environment of 45°F or less.
Ability to rotate and organize products, perform job duties as needed and complete necessary paperwork.
Ability to analyze situations, identify problems and implement solutions.
Ability to meet productivity standards established by Food Lion.
Ability to complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training Aid courses.
